Today, I have got another performance again. My brain freely surfs me back to one of the performance in the early year.
Sister Crystal is someone I am thinking about. We were rehearsing at the moment. Standing at the back of the podium, she was holding a brush, trying her very end of her strength to clean up the floor for tomorrow's Sunday Service. It was just a normal rehearsal to me, at the moment. Finishing Chopin's and the accompaniment. Claire was playing for the next.
Just on the moment, Claire was rehearsing her Bach's. I heard a noise came up from the outside of the church hall. I went to check at the hallway.
It was Crystal, her trolley was thrown on the floor. Water was splashing everywhere on the floor. Her trolley had just slipped off from her hand. Her face was flushing red, breathing heavily. Her eyes were streaming with tears, although it was really hardly notice by the others. I couldn't figure out what was on her mind. It seems in her 86 year old body, the soul was flashing back to some very early year of her youth time.
" Are you OK? "
"Yeah, I am ok with my own. " Crystal replied pastor in a very firm voice. Though, I could sense that wasn't normal Crystal, as she would nod to me during the service.
Crystal carried her trolley, her breathing was almost audible to me, she walked towards to direction of the bus station.
Crystal came to the evening performance. She was truly delighted to our performance. Her souls seemed awaken by the music, she told me it wasn't that often to hear some classical music in her daily life. She then, told me, she could remember one of the great performance that she went in Frankfurt Germany with her late husband.
I could tell, that must be the moment that my music brought her back to. Happy yet remembrance.
" We had went through 56 years. 56 years..." her eyes sparked.
"Not many people could have that long run. "
Crystal looked at the plaque on the wall. That was the moment that I remembered, how she introduced her late husband to me.
This too shall pass.
